What's all this then?
A WikiWikiWeb is a "collaborative hypertext environment", with an emphasis on easy access to and modification of information. Anybody can edit any page in any way they want. Anarchy in action!
This wiki runs on the MoinMoin Wiki Engine. However, we used to use a different wiki engine called MoniWiki so you may find some pages around which refer to that system and its features. Sorry if that's a bit confusing! Don't worry about it too much as most of the features are the same.
You are encouraged to edit the WikiSandBox whichever way you like - it's a playground for you to learn how to change Wiki Pages.
- You can edit any page by pressing the 'Edit Text" link at the bottom left of the page.
Capitalized words joined together form a WikiName, which hyperlinks to another wiki page.
- The 'highlighted title' searches for all pages that link to the current page.
- Pages which do not yet exist are linked with a question mark: just follow the link to make a new wiki page.
To learn more about what a WikiWikiWeb is, read about WhyWikiWorks and the WikiNature. Also, consult the WikiWikiWebFaq.
- Interesting starting points:
RecentChanges: see where people are currently working
HelpForBeginners: to get you going
WikiSandBox: feel free to change this page and experiment with editing
FindPage: search or browse the database in various ways
Old news:
- Set up a basic antispam system for the wiki.
- Apache set up to serve from a nice place.
- Wiki installed and played with a bit
- Troubleshooting ssh firewall.
- We've been having problems with bittorrent clients creating hundreds of concurrent connections to the internet.
Someone using a Windows PC on the network appears to have multiple SpywareInfections.
